good news and monstrous collectors

Monster Hunter Wilds is highly anticipated. To mark the new year, Capcom decided to speak out and give us some news. And that’s without counting the arrival of a ton of collector peripherals just to make us salivate.

Announced with great fanfare during the Game Awards 2023, Monster Hunter Wilds is already highly anticipated by fans. Difficult to have missed the license following the explosion of MH World and its XXL extension Iceborne. While it had been reserved for Nintendo platforms for a while, the license ended up landing on PlayStation (come back for the case of Sony) and Xbox in 2017. The success was instantaneous, and Monster Hunter thus became the most popular license. most prolific of Capcom, far, far ahead of all the others. Needless to say, MH Wilds is now highly anticipated, and that’s good because we just got some news, and it’s very good.

Monster Hunter Wilds will soon be back!

Capcom has indeed released a short video press release to wish us a happy new year, but not only that. The company took the opportunity to take stock of its franchise by giving us some visuals of MH Wilds along the way.
The next part of the license will be shown this summer. The game is also still planned to be launched in 2025. As a general rule, Capcom always takes advantage of the few months preceding the launch of its game to release some beta phases for us. The same will certainly be true for Wilds.

In addition to providing an update on MH Wilds, Capcom shared the monstrous numbers of world And Rise which sold 23 million and 13 million copies respectively. The gap between the two games is explained not only by the fact that World is older, but also because it is more advanced than Rise, technically speaking but also in terms of gameplay. As a reminder, Monster Hunter Rise was originally a Nintendo Switch exclusive before being ported to all other platforms.

A monstrous collab and collectors galore!

We will therefore have to wait another good year before being able to play Monster Hunter Wilds on PS5, PC and Xbox Series. But to wait, Capcom plans to celebrate the franchise’s anniversary throughout the year. It started very early with a small event where you were asked to vote for your favorite monster, there are currently more than 200, all generations combined. It’s a real Pokédex now. The results and associated goodies will be shared soon.

As a bonus, Monster Hunter is doing a great collaboration with MSI to launch a whole arsenal of collector PC peripherals entirely customized in the colors of the franchise. Laptop, screen, motherboard, graphics card, watercooling, case… It’s pretty classy and it will certainly make fans salivate. These limited editions will soon be put on sale but we do not yet know all the details. We don’t really have a date, even if it won’t be long, and we certainly don’t have the prices. So wait and see.
