Good news for Criminal Minds fans: the series isn’t going to end anytime soon and here’s why

A flagship police series in the American television landscape, “Criminal Minds” is once again renewed for an additional season after its big return in 2022.

The Criminal Minds series had to say goodbye at the end of its fifteenth season and ultimately… not at all. Two years later, CBS announced a sequel under another title, Criminal Minds: Evolution, with many of the stars of season 15. Only Matthew Gray Gubler and Daniel Henney were missing.

This new chapter, considered season 16 by fans and broadcast on TF1 in January 2024, is part of the continuity of the original series. It followed the team in pursuit of a network of serial killers during a perilous time: the COVID lockdown.

Joy for worshipers of the program: according to Variety, the Criminal Minds: Evolution series has already been renewed for a third season – season 18, even before the release of season 2, expected this June 6 on the Paramount+ platform in the United States. Enough to confirm, for those who doubted it, the impact of the brand.

For the French, we will have to wait before the release of season 2 of Evolution. The new series is not currently available on Paramount+. It will soon be broadcast on TF1. The first fifteen seasons are still available on the streaming platform.

Criminal Minds: Evolution, soon on TF1.
