In the finale at the Tissot Velodrome, after a balanced initial phase, Brennauer fought French Marion Borras (3: 23.297) in 3: 19.548 minutes and extended her extraordinary streak of success. Only one further improvement of her own German record (3: 18.538) just missed the World Cup runner-up in the single pursuit of 2020. The German dominance of the pursuers was completed by Mieke Kröger from Bielefeld, who overtook the Italian Martina Alzini in the small final and won bronze.

Pauline Grabosch from Erfurt took a strong second place in the 500 meter time trial. In the final, the Magdeburg-born woman climbed to 33.336 seconds and was thus in the range of her personal best from the 2020 World Cup in Berlin.
