When it was launched at the end of 2021, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 managed to convince users with its superb screen, its ergonomic interface and its ultra-efficient GPS. However, some shortcomings were also reported on this model…

The connected watch from the South Korean giant may be relatively complete, but until now it offered no alternatives to Samsung’s voice assistant, the aptly named Bixby. However, the brand had promised the rapid deployment of Google Assistant with availability planned for “soon”. Months have passed and the long-awaited day (or almost) has finally arrived!

A pleasant addition

During its last Google I/O conference to date, the American firm formalized the launch of its assistant on the Samsung watch during the summer. But since it is already very hot, Google Assistant was deployed on May 24, 2022 on Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. It can be downloaded from the watch via the Play Store in around ten countries including France.

Thus, Google Assistant now makes it possible to interact with the various applications installed on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4. The voice assistant can also answer questions and be set as the default action via the watch’s home button ( instead of the power menu or Bixby). In short, his arrival is clearly welcome.
