It’s time to update Google Chrome. In a blog post published on September 2, Google explained that it had released a new version of its web browser that fixes a critical security flaw that has already been used for attacks. The update to install concerns Chrome on macOS, Windows and Linux and has the number 105.0.5195.102.

The only detail Google gives is that the bug affects a set of runtime libraries known as Mojo. These software bricks are supposed to facilitate communication between the different processes of the browser, but the validation and data exchange of which would have been a little too lax.
This is the sixth flaw actively exploited by hackers that Google fixes this year on Chrome. In February 2022, one of these bugs had also been used by hackers affiliated with the North Korean regime to steal personal data.
To check the version of Chrome that is installed on your machine, launch the browser, go to the menu (the three dots at the top right) and choose About Chromium. If a new version is available, the software will download and install it automatically. All you have to do is restart Chrome to take advantage of the security patch.
