Good news today, since we can finally lock our files in Google Drive.

In this way, the user can ensure that his files will not be modified by a third party. When a document is locked, regardless of a person’s access level, they will not be able to modify it unless they are explicitly given access. “ Edits, comments and suggestions cannot be added to locked documents », Indicates Google. Also, a file can be locked or unlocked at any time.

To lock a file on Google Drive, the operation couldn’t be simpler, since you just need to right-click on the file in question. From then on, you must choose “Information on the file”, then validate the “Lock” command. The update is rolling out, and it’s possible that you already have access to this new lockdown feature.
