Google I/O 2022: Google teases its Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro planned for the fall

Out of nowhere, here is Google unveiling its Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, the next flagships of the American company. They won’t be released until fall 2022, but Google couldn’t resist revealing their design. We notice an aesthetic still very similar to that prevailing on the Pixel 6. The only real addition is in the material used for the long photo strip.

Goodbye glass and hello to aluminum, the manufacturer seemed more than happy to present this new finish which offers an even more premium appearance to the smartphone. The desire to show that he is a major player and that Samsung, Oppo or even Apple cannot rest easy. According to the visuals shown during the I/O, the 7 Pro model will find the three modules of the 6 Pro, while the Pixel 7 will keep the same alignment as its predecessor. Obviously, Google has not revealed the technical characteristics of these modules, or even of the phone. Still, we know at least one thing: the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will adopt the new in-house chip. The Google Tensor therefore promises to take new smartphones to new heights in terms of power.

For the rest, you will still have to take your troubles patiently. Perhaps Google will reproduce the same pattern as in 2021, offering a Twitter thread to gradually unveil the outlines of its next flagships. This evening’s announcement still leaves us a little bitter as we would have liked to have more in our mouths.
