A stone’s throw from the start of the festivities, the Google I/O 2024 conference unveils its main features. On the program: sessions dedicated to the latest innovations in artificial intelligence and aroundAndroid 15as well as hands-on workshops for developers.

A little more than two weeks before its official opening, Google I/O unveils a program that promises to be full of new features. Dedicated mainly to developers, this annual event is an opportunity for the Mountain View firm to present its latest innovations in software, tools and platforms. This year, the focus will likely be on artificial intelligence and the next version of its operating system: Android 15.

I/O 2024: Google unveils the program, numerous workshops planned for developers

On April 25, Google shared the list of sessions that will take place from May 14 during Google I/O 2024. A program that already promises to be busy for developers since these The latter will be able to participate in more than 150 sessions and learning content, as relayed to us by 9to5Google. Here are the four main sections that will make up this 2024 edition:

  • Mobile: Develop for diverse audiences and form factors;
  • Web: Create fast, secure apps and sites for the web;
  • AI: Access cutting-edge AI models and open source tools for machine learning;
  • Cloud: Simplify and scale end-to-end development.

As indicated on the official event website, developers can now plan their own I/O 2024 by choosing the conferences they wish to attend and the technical sessions in which they wish to participate. There are no fewer than 16 themes that will enhance the event: Accessibility, AI/Machine Learning, Android, Angular, AR/VR, Chrome OS, Cloud, Design, Firebase, Flutter, Go, Google Play, Location/Maps, Home connected, Wear OS and Web.
