Google improves the Nest Hub interface to offer more detailed information on breathing


Google’s 2nd-gen Nest Hub shows off a new interface that shows much more detailed data about your breathing and sleep.

Remote control smart screen for home automation, Google’s Nest Hub never stops evolving and find new uses. One of the appeals of this rather inexpensive device is its ability to track users’ sleep, through Motion Sense. This functionality is made possible thanks to Soli, an extremely precise motion detection technology integrated for the first time in the Pixel 4, in 2019.

Google has since used this technology in its 2nd generation Nest Hub and offers its users to receive personalized information about their sleep cycles while offering them appropriate advice. According to 9TB 5 Google, the company has given the 2nd generation Nest Hub a new screen that displays detailed information about your breathing while you sleep. This teaches you the number of breaths per minute, but also the number of coughs, if any, or even the cumulative duration of snoring during the night.

All the information presented on this new module visible on the main screen of the Nest Hub will allow you to detectpossible sleep apnea or even problems that could appear during the different phases (drowsiness, slow or paradoxical) and will make it possible to submit reliable information to healthcare professionals in case of trouble.

Google Home has recently had a complete overhaul, and its integration with Nest Hub, the company’s smart screens, is always more complete.
