Birth of a new division
Google boss Sundar Pichai posted important news on the Google blog this week. We learn that its Android and hardware divisions are grouped into a single entity. The latter takes the name “Platforms and Devices”, or in French “platforms and devices”. »
This new major division will be led by Rick Osterloh, previously head of Google’s devices section. Google Research employees who also work in the “ computational photography and on-device intelligence » will also be integrated into it. The division will take care of all Pixel, Chrome, ChromeOS, Android and Photos products.
