Google Maps is receiving a new update on Android 14 and an important function is significantly improved. That’s the advantage.

The developers behind Google Maps keep publishing to improve the map and navigation service – including now.
Google has said goodbye to the old “share screen” in the navigation service and is now offering a new, native version of it, as the Google blog 9to5Google reports.
You can see the differences in the screenshot above. The new share screen is visually much more differentiated, especially thanks to images of locations, contacts and apps. This should make the selection of contacts and apps more convenient for you when sharing content.
In addition, Google Maps has an even more prominent share button when the content is fully opened. It’s located near the search icon and is quicker to reach than scrolling through the carousel with the various options.
