Why is Maps no longer showing up in Google searches?

Soon, searching for a location on Google will no longer bring up Maps. Instead, a still image without any information about your restaurant, hotel, store, etc. If you are used to using the service to consult reviews or calculate an itinerary, it is not very practical even if in fact, we completely understand Europe’s motivations vis-à-vis the Google monopoly.

For several years, the tech giants – Google, Apple Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, ByteDance – have imposed their rules around the world, particularly in Europe. The Mountain View firm is required to no longer link its services by default when you use its search engine, hence this change.
