According to our colleagues from the Android Central site, these new filters will also be available on the Web and iOS versions. As a reminder, these Real Tone filters are based on Monk Skin Tone Scalewhich was created to replace outdated skin tone scales that favor fair skin.

Google co-developed this scale with Ellis Monk, assistant professor of sociology at Harvard. As the teacher points out, the Monk Skin Tone scale is a precise 10-point skin tone scale that was designed to be intentionally more representative and inclusive, especially for people with darker skin colors.

Real Tone filters are currently not available on Google Photos as of this writing. Nevertheless, Google assures that they will be accessible to all users during the month of June.
