Google Pixel 7 Pro: a reseller publishes an unboxing as its officialization approaches

Patience before the formalization of Google’s Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, expected in the fall. The most exclusive smartphone in the range is shown on video from a retailer, which gives hope for a presentation shortly.

Google’s Pixel 7 series is following an unusual trajectory. When the most anticipated smartphones are generally doomed to “leak”, that is to say, to be the subject of information leaks before their official presentation, so that most of their characteristics are often known before the launch. t hour, the Mountain View firm has chosen to pull the rug out from under the experts in the field. It was therefore at Google I/O last May that Google showed the design of its Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, pending their full presentation in the fall.

Presentation that can not delay any longer: if prototypes have regularly appeared in recent months in nature, the deadline is obviously approaching, since some retailers already seem to have acknowledged receipt. This is at least the case of Gadgetfull BD, in Bangladesh, which delivers a short unboxing of the Pixel 7 Pro on its Facebook account. He shows the back of the device in its black version, and whose photo block seems less prominent than on the Pixel 6 Pro. The front of the device reveals a screen with very thin borders, whose sides seem slightly curved, and with a punch centered on its upper part.

If the design of the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro is no longer in doubt, their technical sheet remains nebulous. Google confirmed the integration of a next-generation Tensor chip in both terminals, but did not provide further details. However, we expect the integration of 6.7-inch (Pixel 7 Pro), 6.3 or 6.4-inch (Pixel 7) OLED screens at a refresh rate of 120 Hz for the first and 90 Hz for the second. Their photo blocks should be close to those of the Pixel 6, with two modules (wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle) on the Pixel 7, enriched with a telephoto lens on the 7 Pro.

Expected in the fall, from September 23, the Pixel 7 series will kick off Android 13 – already available for some Pixels – for all Google partners. It will undoubtedly provide a counterpoint to the other stars of the season, the Apple iPhone 14, whose presentation is set for September 7, 2022.
