Currently being deployed, an update to the Google Play Store identified by “9to5Google” is trying to provide better visibility on the compatibility of your devices with this or that application.
Version 30.6.16-21 of the Play Store is being deployed and carries a small novelty in its bag which should optimize the user experience, as relayed 9to5Google. In the “About the application” tab, a new section appears to tell you which devices are compatible with the application in question.
At the bottom of the page, the Play Store splits a small explanation: “This section tells you if this app works on your devices. You will only see devices that are associated with your Google Account and have been active in the last 30 days “, can we read.
Better overall visibility
The supported devices are multiple: smartphones, obviously, but also connected watches or Chromecast under Google TV. In the event that the application can work on these types of products, the compatible devices will then be displayed one below the other in the form of a list.

9to5Googleshows us a typical example with the Gboard application, which displays compatibility with the tester’s Pixel 5, but also the Galaxy Watch 4 connected watch and a Chromecast. A quick and convenient way to see if a particular app can be used across your entire ecosystem, or not.
This novelty is not yet deployed on a large scale, but should gradually be invited to your phones. It will then join the list of the latest small novelties developed by the Mountain View firm, which recently brought a welcome facelift to the web version of its Play Store.
