Google Slides: Gemini erases the background of your images in one click


The war for generative AI knows no truce between the tech giants. OpenAI is eyeing fans of this technology with ChatGPT for text and Sora for video, Google responding with Gemini. Integrated into Google Slides, this artificial intelligence will help the user format their documents by removing the background of images added to a slideshow.

Certainly, the most resourceful are already able to act fissa thanks to software like Photoshop, but it is not within everyone’s reach. That Gemini is entitled to this functionality is therefore good news.

The Remove Background feature in Slides is accessible by right-clicking the mouse after selecting the image. The operation is also available via the toolbar. And since a picture is worth 1000 words, Google shared an example here:

The feature is unavailable to ordinary people, currently reserved for owners of the Gemini Enterprise and Gemini Business add-ons, as well as Google One AI Premium subscribers (starting at $19.99).
