A hard blow for some Google Store users, who believed in a generous surprise from Google.

The store has undergone various changes recently, with the latest one incorrectly crediting some users with $500 in credit. But…

The bug that was worth $500?

Accessible from a smartphone or computer, the Google Store allows you to order a Pixel smartphone, a pair of Pixel Buds headphones or products from the Nest range. The store has recently benefited from various optimizations, with a more airy interface and new logos. Under the user’s profile (top right), some were pleasantly surprised to see a Google credit… of 500 dollars!

Indeed, as explained 9to5Mac, the various changes to the Google Store have created a bug, which shows a credit of 500 dollars to all users who actually have a few dollars in credit. Before proceeding with any payment, the good credit reappears on the screen… to the great displeasure of the user, of course.

Obviously, we imagine that the American giant will very quickly correct this bug which causes a terrible emotional lift to the users concerned.

And you, what would you do with a surprise credit of $500 to spend on the Google Store?
