Good news for all Google TV users enjoying a welcome new update.
The profile management function is finally here (with other small new features).
User profiles on Google TV
Remember, late last year, Google announced support for multiple user profiles on Google TV, via an upcoming update. On the user side, it will have been necessary to be patient, since the update in question is currently being deployed.
Thus, if several people can register via their Google account, only the main user can benefit from personalized recommendations. This aspect is corrected today via the new update, which therefore allows each user to benefit from a personalized profile, with their own recommendations.
This update also gives the possibility of taking advantage of various optimizations with regard to the screen saver, which now allows direct access to various applications such as YouTube, Spotify, Podcasts…. Everything is symbolized by small cards (or tiles) located at the bottom of the screen, in order to leave more room for the image displayed in the background.
This new update for Android TV is currently being deployed and will be available over the coming days or weeks on the various compatible terminals.
