Google’s Pixel Watch 2 is starting to show off its intriguing design

Google’s Pixel Watch 2 is expected to arrive sometime in October 2023, but it’s already starting to show up in leaks. Today, it is the dials that are revealed. They would have been disclosed by a source within Google itself.

Google’s Pixel Watch wasn’t perfect, but it did show the firm its goals for creating a cohesive Pixel ecosystem. The second iteration should arrive very soon, but we already have elements that give us an idea of the final product.

Android Authority thus presents the new dials of this Pixel Watch 2. These would have been retrieved through a contact working directly within Google. Four types of dials would be available at launch.

The Pixel Watch 2 shows off its dials

In total, four new dials would be exclusive to this Pixel Watch 2 (therefore not available on the first version). The first would be named “Available” and would come in several formats: just time, time and battery, day, ect.

The second exclusive dial would be named “Arc” and would adopt a visual close to classic watches. Here again, several variations would be proposed.

Then we will have a digital version all in roundness and finally, an analog version, again with a strong design à la Google. In any case, the visual will be fully customizable in order to have a unique watch. It will be possible to display just the time for fans of simplicity, or to add the battery level, the day, the notifications or even the current location. Something to satisfy the greatest number.

For the moment, the changes announced for the Pixel Watch 2 compared to the first version are minimal. If it would keep the same design, it would abandon steel for aluminum, more chic but also more fragile. The main changes would be at the software level, with in particular these new dials. If all goes well, the Pixel Watch 2 would be presented sometime in October, alongside the highly anticipated Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
