Amazon is celebrating great success with a new Lord of the Rings series. A prominent viewer will probably not become a fan of “The Rings of Power”: Elon Musk. The Tesla boss railed against the prequel and was particularly bothered by the male characters.
Elon Musk must have a special talent for time management. Because between his obligations at Tesla, SpaceX, the colonization of Mars and the legal dispute over the failed Twitter takeover, the 51-year-old also finds time for series. Most recently, “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” was on the program, but the eccentric billionaire did not like the fantasy series at all.

“Tolkien Turns in the Grave”, Musk mocked on Twitter. A short time later, the e-car pioneer also gave a reason: “Almost every male character is a coward, an idiot, or both”, so the nasty verdict. Completely in contrast to Galadriel, because the woman is “brave, smart and kind.”
Musk does not reveal whether he has anything to complain about in the new Lord of the Rings series apart from the male characters. A recent decision by Amazon Prime Video shows that “Rings of Power” causes controversy even without Elon Musk. The video-on-demand service has the Review function for the series on hold. Apparently one fears tons of bad reviews from die-hard Lord of the Rings fanswho don’t warm up to the series. This phenomenon is also called “review bombing”.
