The first trailer for the “Gossip Girl” reboot is here. In it, the new cast exchanges secrets and a familiar voice returns.

The streaming service HBO Max has a first trailer for the series remake of “Gossip Girl” (2007-2012) published. The new cast can be seen in action for the first time: Emily Alyn Lind (19) as Audrey Hope, Eli Brown (21, Otto Bergmann IV), Whitney Peak (18, Zoya Lott), Thomas Doherty (26, Max Wolfe), Jordan Alexander (Julien Calloway), Evan Mock (24, Aki Menzies), Zión Moreno (28, Luna La), Savannah Lee Smith (Monet de Haan) and Tavi Gevinson (25, Kate Keller).

In the trailer, everyone meets in a bar and exchanges their first secrets. And: Kristen Bell (40), who acted as the narrator in the original, is there again as a narrator and can be heard in the first clip. The reboot will be available from July 8th on the streaming service.

The plot is set to take place eight years after the gossip site was shut down, and is set to center on a new generation of affluent teenagers on New York’s Upper East Side. The new edition comes from the original producer trio Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Joshua Safran. Among other things, Lind will play Audrey, who after a long-term relationship wonders what else in the world might be waiting for her. The American has series experience, she played recurring roles in “Revenge” (2011-2015) and “Code Black” (2015-2016), among others.
