TFX has just announced the broadcast date of the sequel to the cult series “Gossip Girl”, which will follow a new generation of high school students, eight years after the closure of the famous blog.
Gossip Girl, the terror of the Upper East Side’s golden youth, will soon be making a comeback! TFX has just announced that the first season of the sequel to the cult series will be broadcast from Friday September 2 at 9:05 p.m. on its antenna.
Developed by Joshua Safran, producer and screenwriter of the original series, and produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, already behind the first adaptation, Gossip Girl Next Generation will take us back to the heart of the upscale neighborhoods of New York and will follow for the occasion a new generation of students from Constance Billard and St Jude private high schools, eight years after the closure of the famous blog.
The teenagers will then find themselves targeted by the omniscient eye of the anonymous blogger who has returned to service and who is determined to reveal all their secrets.
Who says new generation, necessarily says new actors. Emily Alyn Lind (The Babysitter, Revenge), Thomas Doherty (Legacies), Tavi Gevinson, Eli Brown (Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists), Whitney Peak (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Jordan Alexander (Sacred Lies), Evan Mock, Zión Moreno (Control Z) and Savannah Smith will camp the members of this new group of high school students.
This season 1 of Gossip Girl New Generation will also be marked by the return of many emblematic characters who marked the original series. Kristen Bell will once again lend her voice to the famous blogger, while Margaret Colin (Eleanor Waldorf), Wallace Shawn (Cyrus Rose) and Zuzanna Szadkowski (Dorota Kishlovsky) will make remarkable cameos.
Composed of 12 episodes, season 1 of Gossip Girl New Generation is broadcast every Friday evening with 3 new episodes per evening from September 2. For the most impatient, the season is already available in full on MyTF1 MAX.
