Because life is a bit like a box of chocolates, you shouldn’t be surprised by some bold choices made by the development teams. Latest example, the integration of a cover of a hit from the late 90s by Ricky Martin in Gotham Knights and which serves as the theme for a meeting against Harley Quinn.
Livin la vida Loca featured in Gotham Knights
Ricky Martin’s song was heard in Gotham Knights gameplay footage, during a fight in the game’s prison. A piece that has been covered countless times since its first radio broadcast in 1999. But if it disturbs so much KindaFunny’s person which brought the track to light, it is also because it is sung during Shrek 2, an ultra-popular film in the United States and diverted many times in recent years. For a little more context, we also saw this Gotham Knights preview session and this theme is associated with the appearance of Harley Quinn. And we have to admit that the choice of song is quite consistent with the character (see from 3min30).
The sequences with known songs in the games
It’s something that is being done more and more and of which the Far Cry, in particular, have made a specialty. Since the third game of the Ubisoft license, there is always at least one mission that starts with a song that detonates with the rest of the original OST of these games.
