“Violent clashes erupted last night in Koungou and Majicavo (Mayotte) between rival gangs, on the sidelines of the stabbing murder of a youngster on Sunday June 5“, according to the text. “Roadblocks were erected last night on the RN1 in Koropa and Koungou by small groups who also targeted motorists and the police. Three roadblocks were lifted thanks to the intervention of the mobile gendarmerie which continues its operations to maintain order despite repeated attacks. Three gendarmes were slightly injured. Two young men were assaulted overnight from Sunday to Monday in Koungou. “One aged 19 of French nationality, of Comorian origin, and his 26 year old friend.
