Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin have a present for “Grace and Frankie” fans: the first episodes of the final season can already be seen.

Thanks to this successful surprise, fans of the Netflix series “Grace and Frankie” know exactly what they will spend the coming weekend with. Because completely unexpectedly, the first four episodes of the final seventh season have already been published – and that was actually only announced for 2022.

The fans have to wait until next year for the remaining twelve episodes and thus for the series finale of the sitcom with Jane Fonda (83) and Lily Tomlin (81) in the title roles.

Distinctive announcement

In its unmistakable way the duo Fonda / Tomlin announced this thank you to the loyal followers of “Grace and Frankie” personally in a video. “If you don’t stop babbling in between, I can’t tell you anything,” says Fonda in the Twitter clipwho, in Tomlin’s opinion, are not getting the great news out fast enough. “You missed your chance,” Tomlin then drives her back into the parade and reveals: “The first four episodes of season seven are out.”

With seven seasons and a total of 94 episodes, “Grace and Frankie” is the streaming provider’s longest-running in-house production to date. The comedy series started in 2015 and is about two women whose husbands come out as same-sex lovers and then file for divorce. Because of the corona pandemic, filming for the final seventh season was delayed.
