Gran Torino: fans believed in a return of Clint Eastwood in the skin of Inspector Harry
For the record, many rumors circulated about the plot of this feature film, following the official announcement of its start. The most credible reported a new episode of the saga Inspector Harry. The author of a quasi-anonymous letter explained that he had met with executives from Village Roadshow Pictures, looking for a 1972 Gran Torino for Clint Eastwood’s new film. He had also written that the feature film in question would be a thriller in which Inspector Harry Callahan would come out of retirement to hunt down the murderer of his policeman grandson, a man whose only car has been identified: a 1972 Ford Gran Torino. However, Clint Eastwood silenced the rumor at a press conference by saying that 78 years old, he was too old to return to service with the police.
