Even before its official launch, the specialized press had said they were rather satisfied with Gran Turismo 7. The software had also received good marks, overall. In the same idea, during the first days of availability for all, the players were rather convinced and seemed to strongly appreciate Grand Turismo 7. Unfortunately, that did not last.
Indeed, for several days now, Gran Turismo 7 has been the victim of many technical problemsincluding connection to official servers because of a now extended, and the latest update rolled out has the community roaring. The latter has added microtransactions and it has also become more difficult to unlock vehicles quickly, according to the latest feedback. In addition, some complain about the mandatory internet connection, and this constantly, despite their desire to play solo.
The answer ? An important review bombing. Gran Turismo 7’s rating has dropped drastically. As of this writing, user rating is 2.0 for 5,543 reviews from players, compared to 87 for the average listing the assessments of the specialized press. It would thus be the lowest Metacritic score for a Sony game (World of Warriors being at 2.9).
It’s a safe bet that the developers are currently working on solving the various problems encountered and that they will put in place measures to once again satisfy the players. To find out more, you have to be patient and wait for an official communication from them.
