Gran Turismo 7 soon on PC? Kazunori Yamauchi is open to the idea

sony does not hide its desire for PC ports when it comes to games first sold as PlayStation exclusives. If some games remain on PlayStation consoles and only there (we are still waiting for you Bloodborne), more and more PC versions are coming to us lately, and it could be that Gran Turismo 7 no exception to this new strategy. The racing game has not yet blown its first candle, but can we already expect a PC port of the latter?

Too complex a port?

Kazunori Yamauchi, who is the thinking head of the license, was interviewed on this subject by GTPlanet. When asked if a PC port of Gran Turismo 7 is something he would be interested in, he replies that “ yes, I think it is ». However, he claims that offering a PC version of this seventh episode would not be an easy task:

Gran Turismo 7 is a very finely tuned title. There aren’t many platforms that could run the game at 4K/60fps natively, so one way to make this possible is to reduce the number of platforms targeted. It is not a very easy task, but of course we study it and consider it. »

Nothing is therefore done concerning a port of Gran Turismo 7, but we at least know that Polyphony Digital is thinking about it and looking into the subject. Until a potential PC version is released, the title is still available on PS4 and PS5.
