Announced in 2016 by Cygamesthis Action RPG taking place in the world of mobile games Granblue Fantasy was then developed by PlatinumGames, until 2019 and the announcement of the end of this collaboration between the two entities. Since then it is Cygames Osaka who develops the project internally. Exclusive to PS4, it was then announced for PS5 at the end of 2020, along with the broadcast of an enticing gameplay video. During the Granblue Fantasy Fes 2021 end of 2021, a PC version (Steam) was added to the list and an exciting trailer ended with always the same release period: the year 2022. We then had to find out the exact date following the 8th anniversary in March, except that nothing was communicated… And for good reason, Granblue Fantasy Relink won’t be released until 2023.

Although the internal and external circumstances related to the novel coronavirus have been the main obstacle in the development process, the entire staff has spared no effort to make up for lost time. All graphic assets, script pieces, voices, music and other assets are in a completed state. At this point, we are focused on improving gameplay balancing, debugging, improving audio and graphics fidelity, and generally improving the overall experience.
