Guest on the set of “On est en direct”, Grand Corps Malade returned to the controversy that had closely affected the singer Hoshi. The slammer talked about the song written for Hoshi, “Beautiful People”.
Several months ago, the columnist Fabien Leceuvre had made misogynistic and lesbophobic remarks against the singer Hoshi. Invited to the Arts-Mada webradio, he notably described the interpreter as Your Sailor of “scary” while asking : “When are we going to be released sublime girls ?“But the columnist didn’t stop there.”When you look at Hoshi, for example, who has an incredible, indisputable talent, you put a poster of Hoshi in your room you ? NS‘have nothing against this girl who is great (…) but that she gives her songs to sublime girls.” These comments had outraged many Internet users, as well as other artists who subsequently supported the singer. This is the case of Grand Corps Malade who wrote the song Beautiful people echoing this controversy.
To evoke this song, the French slammer was invited on the set from On is live. He then revealed to Laurent Ruquier and Léa Salamé that Fabien Leceuvre the legal attack. “He is not happy that you are quoting his lyrics in the song“, explained Léa Salamé to provide context in this case. “He has a whole notion of what a singer should be today which is amazing, launched Grand Corps Malade before explaining.
