After 18 months of grimacing soup, the market for Graphic card
finally seems to relax.
For a few weeks already, the signals have been piling up: the shortage of graphics cards that we have known since the release of the new generations from AMD and NVIDIA is, at least, experiencing a lull.
Still 125% of MSRP
It is probably too early to completely rejoice when 3DCenter still falls under 125% MSRP rates, both for AMD graphics cards and for NVIDIA-branded models.
However, and while our colleagues have been studying the prices of our dear graphics cards since January 2021, these have never been so “affordable”. Remember, last December, we were talking about 183% of the MSRP on AMD products, and even 187% on NVIDIA cards. We won’t even talk about spring 2021.
Since then, the decline has been accompanied by a regular presence of the cards at retailers. Stocks have been replenished, shortages are less noticeable and prices are down. The situation is visible in Germany and Austria, but it should also be verified in France, even if things take longer.
