Gravity Goal: 2k Games would develop a competitor to Rocket League

Since many years, Rocket League captivates gamers with its unique, challenging, competitive gameplay. When Psyonix went under the Epic Games flag in 2019 and went free-to-play the following year, many people discovered the car-soccer game and fell for it. charm. This obviously pushes other companies to create similar games, like 2K Games.

Gravity Goal, the new Rocket League?

The information is not official, but it comes from Tom Henderson, who has already shown himself to be right many times in the past. In his recent facts he, for example, first mentioned Rainbow Six Mobile, a few days before it was made official. At the end of April, he announces that 2K Games is working on a new game called Gravity Goal, which notably aims to compete with Rocket League.

According to his information, the principle would be quite similar, since in 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 matches, the objective would be to score goals, thanks to his vehicle. Of course, G.Ravity Goal would have some specificities, such as “discs”, similar to hockey pucks, weapons to throw at opponents. We should be dealing with a futuristic context, again according to Tom Henderson.

We should have a formalization of Gravity Goal, or whatever it is called, in the coming months, given that a closed alpha would have taken place last year. Its release seems planned on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, but the economic model has not been specified.
