GRDF and CGT sign an end-of-conflict agreement

The management of GRDF and the CGT signed, Tuesday, December 20, a protocol of end of conflict at the end of a strike movement started six weeks ago around the questions of purchasing power, announced the two parties.

The agreement provides for the payment in 2023 of an exceptional monthly bonus of at least 50 euros gross, which can reach 87 euros for the lowest salaries. This bonus will supplement the provisions approved this fall within the framework of branch and company agreements, to reach a total of at least 200 euros gross monthly. “This end-of-conflict protocol ensures a gradual return to normal operation of the company, at the service of its customers”welcomed the manager of the French gas network.

This issue is not “not perfect, but we have achieved the major demand: at least 200 euros per month for all employees”told Agence France-Presse Fabrice Coudour, federal secretary FNME-CGT, adding that these demands in a context of inflation include local components, for example, according to the regions, housing or working conditions. “Services will resume normally, under cover of these discussions at the local level. We are moving towards an exit (from the crisis) but it will be the responsibility of the managerial line to make things happen quickly”he warned.

GRDF management had signed a salary agreement in November with three unions (CFDT, CFE-Energie, FO) providing for a 2.3% increase, in addition to an increase in the national basic salary obtained at branch level, but the CGT, the majority in the company of nearly 12,000 employees with 48% of the votes, asked for an additional 2.3%. At the height of the strike, the CGT demanded “a hundred sites mobilized”when management was talking about “less than 3% of strikers”.
