Great Britain: Concert and horse racing on the menu for the 3rd day of the Jubilee of Elizabeth II

LONDON (Reuters) – A gigantic concert, with the participation of Alicia Keys and Diana Ross in particular, and the Derby of Epsom Derby, the famous horse race, are on the menu this Saturday of the third day of celebrations of the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

A huge fan of horse racing, the 96-year-old monarch will not take part in the Epsom Derby due to mobility issues.

Her daughter, Princess Anne, is expected to represent the Queen there.

Saturday evening, some 22,000 people are expected for a concert in front of Buckingham palace to celebrate the 70 years of reign of Elizabeth II.

During this concert, heir to the crown, and his son William should pay homage to their mother and grandmother.

The Queen is not expected to be present at the concert in person.

The group Queen + Adam Lambert will open this concert to end with Diana Ross who will make on this occasion her first live appearance in Great Britain for fifteen years.

Elton John recorded a tribute for the occasion.

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of London on Thursday to celebrate Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee and kick off four days of pageantry, parties and parades to mark the 70th anniversary of his accession to the throne, a record.
