The number of corona deaths in the UK has risen to its highest level since March. The UK’s statistics agency reported 223 deaths Tuesday that tested positive for Covid-19 in the four weeks prior to her death. The number was last even higher on March 9, when 231 people in Great Britain died from or with the virus.
Almost 50,000 new corona cases were reported in the country on Monday. The seven-day incidence was last at 435. So far, there has been little talk of a renewed introduction of corona restrictions in the British government. In England, a mask requirement indoors or proof of vaccinations or tests have been the exception since “Freedom Day” in July. Almost 79 percent of citizens aged twelve and over who are eligible to vaccinate are fully vaccinated. (SDA)
