Great Britain: The Bank of England postpones its meeting for a week

LONDON (Reuters) – The Bank of England (BoE) on Friday announced a one-week postponement of its September monetary policy meeting due to the death of Queen Elizabeth.

“In light of the period of national mourning now observed in the UK, the September 2022 meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee has been postponed for a week,” it said in a statement.

“The Committee’s decision will be announced at noon (1100 GMT) on September 22.”
