Greek salad (Prime Video): the sequel to The Spanish Inn unveils its trailer

After The Spanish inn (2002), Russian dolls (2005) and Chinese puzzle (2013), Cédric Klapisch’s trilogy has a serial sequel. Title Greek salad, she has just unveiled her trailer. The program will be broadcast from April 14, 2023 on the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform.

20 years later

More than two decades after the events of The Spanish innseries Greek salad will follow the adventures of the children of Xavier (Romain Duris) and Wendy (Kelly Reilly) in the land of the Hellenes.

Here is the official synopsis for the series: “When their grandfather died, Tom and Mia inherited a building in Athens. Tom, a young startuper trained in New York, joins his sister in Greece to manage the family inheritance. He will realize that Mia, who claims to be studying in Erasmus, is in fact a rebel activist who lies to the whole family. But their differences of opinion and way of life will make sharing the inheritance very complicated.”

This new French Amazon Original series, created by Cédric Klapisch (In Body, The Young Peril), is composed of eight episodes and co-directed by Klapisch himself, Lola Doillon and Antoine Garceau (Ten percent).

In the cast, we find Romain Duris, Cécile de France, Kevin Bishop, Barnaby Metschurat and Kelly Reilly in their roles as Xavier, Isabelle, William, Tobias and Wendy. They are joined by young Aliocha Schneider and Megan Northam in the lead roles of Mia and Tom.

Cédric Klapisch’s trilogy, begun in 2002 with The Spanish inn, is one of the great popular successes of French cinema. With its consequences Russian dolls in 2005 and Chinese puzzle in 2013, it attracted more than 7 million French spectators to cinemas, in addition to obtaining cult status among young audiences.

Series Greek salad also promises to address the joys, sorrows and difficulties of today’s European youth. It will be available from April 14 on Amazon Prime Video.
