What is it about ?

Following suspicious deaths, Inès Léraud, a young journalist, decides to settle in Brittany to investigate the phenomenon of green algae. Through her encounters, she discovers the fabric of silence that surrounds this ecological and social disaster. Faced with pressure, will she manage to make the truth triumph?

Inès Léraud’s shocking investigation into Green Algae becomes a fictional film, inspired by real events. After having been the subject of a captivating adaptation in comics, the investigative journalist collaborated on this cinema version, with the director and screenwriter Pierre Jolivet (In the heart, Les Hommes du feu…).

The film recounts step by step the discoveries that this journalist will make, and finds the right balance to make the subject accessible, understandable, while avoiding the “film dossier”.

We met Céline Sallette, in duet with the journalist she plays on the screen, Inès Léraud. The opportunity to return with precision to this investigation and the handling of the case, which is still in progress. Inès Léraud also shares with us the pressures that were exerted during the filming of the film, and during the various previews that were held.
