Green Hell VR: a port on the PSVR is in the pipes

A real favorite of this year 2022, Green Hell VRthe popular Amazon jungle survival game developed by Creepy Jar and worn by the studio Incuvo in virtual reality for Meta Quest 1 and 2and on PC VRdoes not intend to sulk the platform of sony.

The Polish studio Incuvoresponsible for porting the license, has succeeded in the crazy bet of reproduce in an extremely convincing way and in virtual reality the experience of survival by adapting the game in its entirety on the medium that is the Meta Questwhile exploiting the potential and mechanics of VR. You can also find our test of the version intended for the Quest 2. The title received very many positive reviews and passed the milestone of 1,200 ratings on the store Meta Questraising it to the second position on the bestseller listonly a few days after its release.

The PC counterpart VR of the license is scheduled for this month of May, but until then we had no tangible information as to a possible complete and personalized port to the PSVR. The studio therefore confided in the subject:

We are very happy that Creepy Jar has decided to entrust us with the task of bringing their brand to another important platform for the virtual reality market. Our attention is focused on the upcoming release of the PC VR edition of Green Hell VR on Steam, but we look forward to the opportunity to leverage our experience and proceed with adapting Green Hell to the specifics of the platform. from Sony. – Andrzej Wychowaniec, CEO of Incuvo

In effect, Incuvo signed an appendix to the contract with Creepy Jar in 2021 in order to continue this cooperation and extend the porting of the game to the platform of Sony. Scheduled for 2023, no doubt it should be equally well received by players PSVR as it was for the Meta Quest. However, we do not have any information regarding his arrival on the PSVR 2. Will it be necessary to play on the backward compatibility of the console? The ports ofIncuvo are moreover not simple ports. Indeed, entire and separate teams are dedicated to development on the different platforms and the studio’s credo is to carry the license with full virtual reality integration. So it’s sort of an overhaul of the game as a whole and it’s not an easy task. However, the result is very convincing.
