Green Hell VR: finally video gameplay for the Quest version!

Following the latest information we shared with you, the studio Incuvobehind the PC game port just posted on his channel Youtube a new video from gameplay. And this time we are extremely spoiled, because this is the first video of the port Quest !

Finally something concrete you will tell us. We agree, after having peeled the weekends screenshotwe can finally realize what the title will be like when it comes out, this first quarter of 2022or in the next few weeks.

The video titled Sounds and Physics of Green Hell VR fills our eyes and ears. The game is pretty clean visually. The shadows and lighting effects are well rendered on the different objects and sets, the textures too, even if some lack detail. The environment is rather loaded, certainly less than for the PC version VRbut still. We feel the atmosphere of the Amazon rainforest and the density of its vegetation.

We are therefore immersed in the Amazon rainforest, which seems to the ear teeming with life, bird calls, waterways, ambient noises, in short, life. The developers wanted to show us the most important aspects today in virtual reality, namely the immersion, the physical interactions and the credibility of the objects and their manipulation. And it must be said that the result is clearly successful. Each object has its own physics, can be manipulated in different ways, interact with other items and even with scenery.

The video shows us in this way certain phases of crafting, where tapping two stones together or a large pebble on a surface will result in smaller chips. The same is true if you hit a branch or a trunk with a blade, and the latter rubbed against a flint will cause sparks to appear. the crafting is therefore dynamic and well thought out.

We can also salute the work done in terms of sound. Apart from the soundtrack and the spatialized sound effects, each object has its own effect. Hitting a stone against another will not emit the same noise as a stone against a table or even a plastic container. These are small things that contribute greatly to the immersion.

The studio had announced it, the title will not be released until the game is able to transcribe real sensations in virtual reality. So he seems to have succeeded.

If you haven’t taken the plunge yet, you can treat yourself to a Meta Quest 2 at the house of Bakerthe Fnac, Darty Where Amazon for €349.99.
