License Grendizer is no longer very young, but it knows how to renew itself over the years, and it’s not over. Manga Productionsalready behind several projects with the giant robot, announces this week thathe will unveil next month “major news for all Grendizer fans”.
For the moment, Manga Productions only does teasingbut he still wants to recall his previous feats of arms to raise the hype.
Indeed, on August 25, 2022, Manga Productions, supported by several Japanese partners including Dynamic Planning, the owner of Grendizer rights, announced a new project around Grendizer under the name PROJECT G. The announcement was made in large pump through a first teaser presented by the creator of Grendizer: Go Nagai.
In parallel with PROJECT G, Manga Productions has launched a major talent contest. Illustrators from around the world had the opportunity to submit designs of enemy vehicles: the “Saucer Beasts” (Golgoths and Anteraks in French). This brought together more than 1000 artists from all over the world and took place successfully! The top 3 were shared a substantial cash prize of $15,000. The result of the competition is now published on PROJECT G’s social networks via (@NextGrendizer).
Following this, Manga Productions announced a strategic partnership agreement with Dynamic Planning. This partnership authorizes the exploitation of the “Goldorak” license and its characters through amusement parks and special events throughout the Middle East.
A few days later, Manga Productions and Sela, a leading Saudi entertainment company, set up a life-size statue of Grendizer in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. This 33.7 meter tall statue has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s tallest metal sculpture of a fictional character.
In addition, Manga Productions signed a publishing and distribution agreement on March 9, 2023 with the famous French game company Microids. With this agreement, Manga Productions will publish the new Microids game “Goldorak: Feast of the Wolves” in the Middle East and North Africa. Manga Productions will work with Microids to localize the game for audiences in the Middle East and North Africa and offer opportunities for Saudi talent to be part of this localization.
