Grendizer quiz: impossible to get all these 8 questions about the cult anime right

In 2025, the Grendizer robot will celebrate its 50th birthday, just that! Are you a fan of the cartoon and can you answer these eight questions in true/false mode?

Grendizer, a cartoon from Japan, enjoyed phenomenal success in several European countries around the 1980s, particularly in France, Italy and Belgium.

This children’s program tells the story of a young prince, Actarus, whose distant planet has been attacked by the warrior empire Vega. He will manage to escape the massacre, fleeing aboard a giant robot, Grendizer, to start a new life on Earth.

The cartoon features many other supporting characters, including Alcor, who is Actarus’ main sidekick. He is an impulsive and reckless young NASA engineer, who will fight the armies of Vega alongside Grendizer. Initially aboard a simple small experimental vessel, the OV-Terre, before Professor Procyon designed a much more powerful machine, the Alcorak.

Professor Procyon, precisely, is the man who collected and adopted Actarus when he arrived on Earth, representing in this a sort of paternal authority figure. He is a scientist, director of the Center for Space Studies located on ranch land, one of the main locations in the animated series.

Which brings us to Rigel, owner of the ranch, the humorous breath of a cartoon sometimes deemed too violent at the time. A man with an angry temper, fascinated by the American Far West, who spends his time trying to come into contact with UFOs. He has a daughter, Venusia, in love with Actarus, who initially ignores everything about his extraterrestrial past, before learning the truth, and supporting him in his fight against the armies of Vega.

Back to this cult cartoon, with a quiz with eight statements. It’s up to you to tell us if they are true or false.
