Grenoble: a 15-year-old scooter dealer runs into a police officer

A 15-year-old teenager on a scooter, who was trying to flee a check, ran into a police officer on Saturday August 20 in Grenoble, learned Le Figaro of the public prosecutor, Éric Vaillant, confirming information from France Blue Isere .

Saturday, rue Anatole France, police watched the Mistral district, south-west of Grenoble, in order to arrest drug sellers on a deal point. A 19-year-old young man, in charge of supplies, was apprehended with 700 grams of cannabis resin packaged for sale. This individual with a clean criminal record was referred this Sunday morning to the Grenoble prosecutor’s office and placed under judicial control.

The police then spotted an individual on a scooter recognized as a regular point-of-deal seller. As they were about to check him, this 15-year-old minor tried to flee by climbing on a sidewalk and then deliberately running into a police officer, injuring his legs and causing him to fall heavily on his head. The official was prescribed a 10-day ITT.

The minor, already known to justice for a narcotics case, was arrested. In the storage of the scooter, which was also stolen, a bag containing 1 kilo and 150 grams of cannabis resin packaged for sale was found.

The alleged perpetrator does not admit the facts. He indicates that the scooter had been lent to him so that he could go and fill up with gas and that he was unaware of the contents of the storage under the saddle. He also explains that he did not see the policeman hit. “He is referred this Sunday, August 21 to the prosecution for a judgment by the juvenile court at the beginning of October. As the minor is under the age of 16, pre-trial detention is not possible and the prosecution requires his placement in a closed educational center“, specifies the public prosecutor of Grenoble.
