“Grévin Awards”: the museum invites the public to vote to choose its new statue

Through a vote on social networks, which will end on April 4, the Grévin museum invites its subscribers to choose the statue that will integrate its premises.

This is a first for this Parisian museum. While the wax statue of Vladimir Putin was removed from the Grévin museum following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the management of the cultural place intends to integrate a new international figure into its catalog.

This year, the museum is launching an exclusive competition called the “Grévin Awards”. At the end of the latter, it is the subscribers who will have the right to choose the “new recruit” of the cultural place.

In a video posted on social networks, the center unveiled a list of ten international stars who will be able to appear in the famous Parisian museum. The shortlisted are Ariana Grande, Tom Holland, Dwayne Johnson, Zendaya, Dua Lipa, Elon Musk, Selena Gomez, Lupita Nyong’o, Chris Pratt and Margot Robbie.

A robot will collect the vote

This new idea aims to rejuvenate the target. Indeed, through this vote, the Grévin museum wants to attract the attention of the youngest.

To allow subscribers to vote, the management of the cultural center has created a chatbot which will be responsible for collecting votes.

According to the Grévin museum, the vote will end on Monday, April 4. The results will be revealed on Monday, April 11.
