Grey’s Anatomy: after seven seasons, this star of the series will leave Seattle in turn

While season 20 of “Grey’s Anatomy” is being broadcast in the United States, an actor from the medical series is preparing to leave Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital after seven years of good and loyal service. Find out who it is below.

Bad news for fans of Grey’s Anatomy… While the indestructible medical series has officially been renewed for a season 21 (season 20 is currently still broadcast on the ABC channel in the United States), a member of the cast will soon leave the his character’s doctor’s coat in the locker room!

Jake Borelli (Levi) leaves ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

So, the one who will unfortunately say goodbye to his on-screen partners is none other than Jake Borelli, who has played the role of the friendly and endearing Levi for (already!) seven years! These are our colleagues from the specialized American media Deadline who made this surprise announcement which will undoubtedly disappoint fans of the show created by Shonda Rhimes in 2004.

However, Jake Borelli and his alter ego from Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital will not be leaving at the end of season 20 of Grey’s Anatomy. Indeed, the star and the production of the drama have entered into negotiations to bring him back next year for a few episodes in order to satisfactorily close his story.

More “Grey’s Anatomy” departures to come?

The reason why Jake Borelli (first appeared among Seattle’s super doctors in 2017) is being pushed out would be purely budgetary. The renewal of Grey’s Anatomy was unfortunately accompanied by a reduction in certain important costs…

But could the main person concerned be the only one to be put aside? Several emblematic faces of Grey’s Anatomy will soon see their contracts expire, at the end of this season 20… Could it therefore be possible that Chandra Wilson (Bailey), James Pickens Jr. (Richard), Kevin McKidd (Owen), Kim Raver ( Teddy), Caterina Scorsone (Amelia) and Camilla Luddington (Jo) are absent or withdrawn to save money?

To be continued in Grey’s Anatomy…
