Some “Grey’s Anatomy” fans should have been happy about this meeting. The main actress of the series, Ellen Pompeo (51), shared videos in her Instagram story a joint dinner with her former series colleagues Justin Chambers (50) and Eric Dane (48).
In a video, the Meredith Gray actress filmed herself and Eric Dane sitting at a table together. Then Justin Chambers, who played Alex Karev on the series for many seasons, appeared in the background. The blond actor theatrically threw a napkin over his arm and asked Dane and Pompeo: “What would you like to have for dinner?”

Then Pompeo published a video of the two actors sitting at the table with her. On Twitter, many “Grey’s Anatomy” fans were happy about the actors’ surprising reunion. While Eric Dane had only returned as Mark Sloan in a dream sequence on the series earlier this year, Justin Chambers had not been seen since 2019.
The actor hadn’t posted anything on his social media since leaving the series. His new look was all the more surprising for fans: He now wears a mustache and blond instead of brown hair. For example, one user wrote on Twitter: “Justin Chambers, the world has missed you!” Another joked, “Justin Chambers is BLONDE and I have to get on with it now”.
Is Justin Chamber returning to Grey’s Anatomy?
It is unclear whether Justin Chambers will return to “Grey’s Anatomy”. The actor had left the series in 2019 to focus on new projects. According to information from the “US Weekly” page series maker Shonda Rhimes (51) gives him the opportunity to return at any time.
