Good news for fans of the “Japril” couple! Actors Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery) and Sarah Drew (April Kepner) will appear in the final episode of Season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy according to Deadline. The couple had reunited during a reunion episode during season 17, in which Jackson came to announce to April his departure to Boston.
During this moving reunion, April confessed to her that she had separated from her husband, an announcement which had greatly delighted the fans who were already imagining a happy ending for this iconic couple of Grey’s Anatomy.
After this departure, the actors had already mentioned a potential return in the next seasons: “I think it’s totally possible. You never know how things will turn out” said Sarah Drewbefore the same sound of bell on the side of jesse williams : “You know I can’t be sure, but I think it’s possible“.
According to information given when they last appeared in season 17, Jackson and April currently live in Boston. Avery left to take over the reins of the Avery Foundation with the goal of helping those in need, and April followed him so he could stay close to their daughter.
