Grey's Anatomy: Mackenzie Marsh joins the cast for season 17

The "Grey's Anatomy" cast is getting reinforcements in season 17. Mackenzie Marsh will join in as the fun-loving but lonely Val Ashton.

The popular doctor series "Grey's Anatomy" welcomes a new face in the new episodes. As the US industry website "Deadline" reports, the US actress Mackenzie Marsh will join the cast of the hit series in season 17. Accordingly, she will take on the recurring role of Val Ashton. However, this is not a doctor or nurse.

The page writes about Marsh's character: Val Ashton is a publisher and an intelligent, fun-loving person with a sense of humor, but she is lonely. The actress confirms the report on her Instagram page. Now the cat is out of the bag. "I am so grateful for this opportunity and I can see how blessed I am to be able to work in 2020!"

Mackenzie Marsh is no stranger to series

It's not the first time for Marsh in front of a TV camera. In her CV there are already series appearances in "Will & Grace", "The Following", "Jane the Virgin", "American Housewife" and the new series of "Charmed". She was also seen in the drama "Just Before I Go" (2014) directed by Courteney Cox (56).

The 17th season "Grey's Anatomy" will premiere on November 12, 2020 on the US television network ABC. In Germany, ProSieben showed the first eight episodes of season 16 in the free TV premiere from May this year. After the summer break, the remaining 13 of the 21 episodes continued in September. When season 17 will appear in Germany is still unclear.
