Ellen Pompeo’s farewell to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

The 19th season is the last of the series in which the main actress Ellen Pompeo (53) can be seen regularly. The “Grey’s Anatomy” veteran is only in front of the camera for eight episodes from season 19, but will remain with the series as a narrator and will return to Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital for occasional guest appearances beyond season 19.

“I am eternally grateful for the love and support you have shown me, Meredith Gray and the show over 19 seasons. None of this would have been possible without the best fans in the world,” Pompeo said of her farewell, according to the press release.

The new episodes of the 19th “Grey’s Anatomy” season will also be available on Joyn and Disney+ one week before they are broadcast on ProSieben.
