Unfortunately for their fans, this reunion in other circumstances than at Gray Sloan Memorial Hospital will obviously not happen! Asked by Entertainment Weekly, the actor revealed that he too had heard of these assumptions and explained that no secret meeting was being organized.

“I think people talked about that because Grey’s Anatomy is still airing…and because Ellen made an announcement about, I guess, her leaving the show or rather her absence for a while. I take it all as a testament to the impact this couple has had on audiences and how much people want to see them together again. But no, I haven’t read anything about it, seen anything and I haven’t talked to her about it..”
As a reminder, season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy is currently being broadcast in the United States. As previously revealed, Ellen Pompeo will not be present in all episodes this year. She will only appear in the credits of the drama in “limited capacity“.
Thus, it will only appear in eight sections of this nineteenth salvo. Nevertheless, she will always take care of the famous monologues of introduction and end of episodes and will return in the finale. Ellen Pompeo is taking advantage of her vacation away from Grey’s Anatomy to work on a series project for the Hulu streaming platform.
